Nancy as Auburn’s Mayor

Nancy was elected to her first term as mayor in 2014 and is the first female to hold the office in Auburn’s 125 year history. Prior to taking office, she served 10 years as an Auburn city councilmember and spent 25 years as a financial manager for the Boeing Company. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a proud wife and mother to a high-achieving, soccer-playing daughter. In 2014, she was selected Auburn Reporter Person of the Year along with Pacific Mayor Leanne Guier.

In 2016, she served as the president of Sound Cities Association (SCA) and helped solidify Auburn’s regional partnerships. SCA represents 37 cities and provides a voice for over one million people. She is also the chair for the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) and Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) and was proud to be appointed as Auburn’s first-ever Sound Transit board member.

    • Represent City of Auburn as a Board of Governance member for the Valley Regional Fire Authority
    • Represent City of Auburn as member of the Economic Development team
    • Represent City of Auburn at national, regional and local events to develop strong community relationships, secure finances and bring back concepts & opportunities for the City
